We are looking for 2 new graduate physiotherapists to join our team in 2026.
You will have opportunity to assess and treat a wide range of developmental, musculoskeletal, and complex conditions; and work in a spacious, well equipped clinic.
This position includes tailored support under our New Graduate Program. Continuous learning and a strive for best practise are important values at Stepping Forward, and once this program has finished, your professional development is supported internally and externally.

Working with Us:
Stepping Forward Therapy Services is looking for two physiotherapists to join our dedicated and growing paediatric team. The successful applicants will have the opportunity to work with babies through to young adults, assessing and treating a wide range of conditions, including plagiocephaly, developmental delay, cerebral palsy and complex neurological disorders. Internal Professional Development occurs regularly, mentorship is available, and funding for external professional development is available.
We have established relationships with other allied health and medical disciplines, and actively engage in a multidisciplinary approach.

Stepping Forward Therapy Services was founded in 2011 and has developed into a team of skilled and experienced physiotherapists and we continue to grow. Our clinic in Canterbury has well equipped facilities, providing therapists with a great environment for functional assessment, play based therapy and the opportunity to further develop their clinical skills.
These include a ceiling hoist, reformers, stairs and slide, ladders and a wide range of toys!

About the role:
Clinic based work, community based work, Aquatic Physiotherapy, group programs and special events, such as visits to the zoo, beach or sporting venues.
Working at Stepping Forward will give you the opportunity to broaden your clinical experience to include babies through to young adults with a range of needs and diagnoses. This role will draw on your functional knowledge of neurodevelopmental, musculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory for assessment and treatment. Experience will be gained in assessment and prescription of equipment/assistive technology. A proactive, multidisciplinary approach to supporting children and their families in reaching their goals and meeting their needs is valued.
You will join a supportive and enthusiastic team of experienced physiotherapists and administrative staff and build collaborative relationships with other health professionals.
Saturday morning shifts are part of this role, to support our commitment to many family's needs and lifestyles.

Our professional development program supports a physiotherapist who actively pursues learning opportunities. Furthermore, you'll be engaged in peer mentorship with a team who have clinical expertise in neurodevelopment, musculoskeletal, disability and sports.
Requirements:
Completed Masters of Physiotherapy, equivalent or higher.
Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Current drivers licence and car.
Right to work in Australia, no restrictions.
Current Working With Children Check and Police Check.
Professional Indemnity $20M.
Preference will be given to a Physiotherapist who:
has completed paediatric placements well.
has experience in communication and rapport building with children from infancy to adolescence and is proactive in their treatment planning and service delivery
has experience within the disability industry
has a sound working understanding of a range of paediatric conditions, both neurological, developmental and musculoskeletal
is motivated, takes initiative with their learning and seeks out support where appropriate
A team player, who values contributing and the contribution of others... and who understands that not everything is written in a position description.
A physiotherapist who is able to build and manage a caseload, with good time management and forward planning.
A professional, who can communicate confidently with medical and allied health peers and professional bodies.
Someone who is committed to the growth of Stepping Forward, its clinical expertise and its services.
