Free School Readiness Screenings
Have you been concerned your child may be behind his friends at his physical skills? Wanting to know what skills may be required when they start school?
We are offering free screenings with our physiotherapists to help you determine if your child is school ready.

What to Expect from the Program
Expect physiotherapist led small group sessions, weekly sessions across school terms, and fun, structured activities focused on skills to prepare children for school or help those who have started school who are wanting some additional support.
This group supports key school readiness skills, including:
Balance and coordination
Running, jumping, hopping
Stair confidence
Ball skills
Motor planning
Confidence in play
This group may benefit children who:
Avoid climbing or active play
Tire quickly during movement
Seem less coordinated than peers
Struggle to sit upright for short periods
Need a confidence boost in physical activities
Children do not need a diagnosis to attend.

We have a visitor carpark out the front of our building, and ample street parking in case this is full.

Each screening will run for 15 minutes.

No, there the screening is commitment-free and is designed to determine if your child needs support to build the skills they will need for school.

One of our paediatric physiotherapists will meet with you and your child.

Group sessions will run weekly starting from Term 3 of 2026.

Your child will get more out of the program by regular participation, however if weekly sessions don’t work for you, that’s okay! They will still benefit by learning important gross motor skills to help them prepare for school.
